Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and MKF Technologies, LLC, a limited liability company organized in Florida, United States (“we,” “us,” or “our”), covering your use of Kitchen Hearth at kitchenhearth.app(the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.

Who can use the Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use Kitchen Hearth, and at least 18 to purchase a subscription. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to it. Provide an email address you actually control — it is how we reach you and how you recover your account.

What the Service does

Kitchen Hearth uses artificial intelligence to generate recipes, to convert links, photos, and pasted text into structured recipes, to answer cooking questions, and to generate images of dishes. It also stores the recipes you save in a personal library.

AI-generated content — please read this

Recipes, cooking instructions, suggestions, answers, and images produced by the Service are generated by artificial intelligence. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsafe, or simply wrong. AI systems can state incorrect information confidently, including ingredient quantities, cooking times, temperatures, food-safety steps, substitutions, and claims about products or places.

You are responsible for reviewing anything the Service produces before you rely on it. Use your own judgment and ordinary cooking sense. When in doubt, check an authoritative source.

Food safety, allergies, and diet

• Verify ingredients yourself. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, or you are cooking for someone who does, read the labels on every product you use. Do not rely on the Service to identify allergens, and be aware that packaged and prepared ingredients may contain allergens that are not obvious from a recipe.
• Cook to safe temperatures. Follow recognized food-safety guidance for handling, cooking, and storing food, including safe internal temperatures for meat, poultry, seafood, and eggs. Cooking times produced by the Service are estimates only.
• Not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Nothing in the Service is professional advice. Any nutrition information is an estimate. If you have a medical condition, food allergy, or specific dietary requirement, consult a qualified professional.

You assume all risk arising from preparing, cooking, serving, or eating any food based on content from the Service.

Imported recipes and third-party content

The Service can import recipes from links, photos, and text that you provide. You are responsible for having the right to use the material you import, and for complying with the terms of the sites and sources it comes from. Imported content remains the property of its original owner and is stored in your private library for your personal, non-commercial use. We do not publish, republish, or share your imported recipes.

If you believe content in the Service infringes your copyright, contact us at mkfirestone@gmail.com and we will respond promptly.

Your content

You keep ownership of the recipes, notes, and photos you add. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you — including sending it to our AI providers when you ask for a recipe, an import, or an answer. We do not use your content to advertise, and we do not share it with other users.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive content.
• Attempt to bypass plan limits, share accounts to avoid limits, or script or automate bulk generation.
• Scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service or its output as a competing product or content library.
• Interfere with the Service's operation, security, or other users' access to it.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

Kitchen Hearth offers a free plan with a monthly limit on AI generations, and a paid plan with additional features. Paid plans, when offered, are billed in advance through Stripe on a recurring basis until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; your paid features continue through the end of the period you already paid for. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices with reasonable advance notice; changes take effect on your next billing period.

Availability

We aim to keep the Service running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. The Service depends on third-party providers, and their outages may affect it.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MKF Technologies, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service — including any illness, injury, allergic reaction, or loss arising from food prepared using content from the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MKF Technologies, LLC from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that create risk or legal exposure. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any unused portion of a prepaid subscription.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service changes. We will revise the “last updated” date above, and for material changes we will make a reasonable effort to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
